FYI -- Darren Dreger's reporting that Doan will listen to offers today, but won't decide on leaving Phoenix until the 9th.

I'd like to see Bobby Ryan or PA Parenteau come to DC. Parise is the real prize, but way too many teams want him and it is very unlikely he gets a contract with the Caps. Other teams have more money. They should grab PA and Matt Carle.

"Jim Rutherford, President and General Manager of the National Hockey League's Carolina Hurricanes, today announced that the team has agreed to terms with center Jordan Staal on a 10-year contract extension. The deal begins with the 2013-14 NHL season and extends through the 2022-23 season, paying Staal $6 million per season."
Not a bad deal more ice time and playing with his brother.

Scott Clemmenson re-signs with FLA 2 x $1.2M.
Jordan Staal re-ups with CAR 10 x $6M.
Ryan Smyth re-signs with EDM 2 x $2.25M.
Benoit Pouliot re-signs with TBL 1 x $1.8M.

I will seriously be sick if the Oh Holy Pens land Parise.
Much worse if it's 28, which I suppose is a possibility.

Well- I am sure there is at least a few teams that would not mind Ovie- probably an offense minded coach- hell, Bruce B. could want him. But with the rising stock of Wilson and Forsberg who would we get back? I was thinking possibly Phanuef for Ovi- his stats are down, but he is a good defender.
