I'd be fine with Reinhart #11 and Dumba #16

It's tough for me to really have much of an opinion without actually seeing these guys play instead of reading scouting reports and watching highlights.

I'd prefer someone with a little but of nasty to their game. The only guy who I really do NOT want to see drafted is Ceci. A big and soft "puck mover". I did get a chance to see him play and I wasn't impressed.

Sister Luck is screaming out somebody else's name... What a shame.

OldHat - you make it look just like that with these draft prognostications.

I'm so with you on your preference for a stud with snarl and nasty (think Scott Stevens or Rod Langway; greedy me, huh?) - ideally a set up man and scorer for the 2nd line Center role, but that guy is Jordan Staal - and I don't think we will be in the trade market for him as it appears 'he's gone to Carolina' in his mind. The Staals are a close family, and several are their in Carolina.

Is there a 2-way D with snarl that would be there at 11? I'm not so sure. I think with Wideman leaving, we need a guy with size, skill, snarl and speed on defense (to keep Charmin Schultz on 'scratch' duty as much as possible).

I think Griffin Reinhart could be that guy, but I'm afraid he'll be long gone.

The first of hopefully many draft day trades has just been confirmed. Bobrovsky to CBJ for 3 picks, including #45 in this year's draft.

EDIT: Final word is Bobrovsky <=> 2012 2nd, 4th and 2013 4th (PHX)

I think the Caps will trade one of their first round picks, for who I have no idea but I just have that feeling. I hope it is the 16th pick and not the 11th. Maybe we will package it together with some prospects for Bobby Ryan. I read somewhere that Anaheim does not want to take a lot of salary back and are looking for top prospects and draft choices. It is not clear to me why Anaheim is trying to trade Ryan, does anyone have information as to the reason. I would think he would like to play in BB's uptempo system.

11 - Griffin Reinhart
16 - Zemgus Girgensons or Tomas Hertl
2nd round - Martin Frk - I think he has a lot of potentional he was injured so I hope that we can get him in 2nd round

I hope that 1 or 2 players of these we can get,

This is what I'm hoping for as well. Reinhart slipping and either Girgensons or Mattaeu at 16. I'd be fine with any of those defenseman bolded. Faska at 11 would be a good move if Reinhart's gone.

I'd also be fine with bundling up a bunch of picks and a player or two for a proven defenseman who has a lot of upside left.

Same here, but you have to look at teams in the bottom half of the league that are in re-build mode. It's strange, a lot of the teams in the bottom 15 I can actually see competing for a playoff spot next season. Luke Schenn from Toronto maybe? It would take a lot to get him though.

If that's the case then they won't trade with us. 11 is too much of a risk if they want Reinhart. They will trade with a top 5 team.

Alright you Primitive Screwheads, listen up! You see this? This... is my boomstick! The twelve-gauge double-barreled Remington. S-Mart's top of the line. You can find this in the sporting goods department. That's right, this sweet baby was made in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Retails for about a hundred and nine, ninety five. It's got a walnut stock, cobalt blue steel, and a hair trigger. That's right. Shop smart. Shop S-Mart. You got that?

That's my thought as well unless we really sweeten the pot.

Whether we trade up or down, I am hoping Dumba is around and we actually get him.

RT @VogsCaps: NHL Draft location stays in the Atlantic Division for each of next two summers. We'll be in Jersey in 2013 and Philly in 2014.

Hmmm... might have to organize a road trip!
